Ingredients
- 1 lb ground organic turkey 85% lean
- 1/4 cup finely chopped yellow organic onion
- 1/2 cup finely chopped organic mushrooms (white button, crimini, or shiitake)
- 2 tbsp ground organic flaxseeds
- 1 egg
- 3 – 4 cloves minced organic garlic
- 2 tsp dried organic oregano
- 1/4 tsp Himalayan Pink Salt, to taste
- 1/4 tsp black pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil for baking dish
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375F.
Drizzle about 1 tsp olive oil into the bottom of a round baking dish, set aside.
Add all remaining ingredients to a mixing bowl and mix by hand until thoroughly combined. I like to wear gloves to do this so nothing gets under my nails.
Separate meat into small clumps and roll into balls about 2.5″ in diameter.
Set meatballs in baking dish. A 9″ round glass dish works well for this recipe which yields about 10 meatballs.
Bake at 375F for 25 – 30 mins until meatballs reach 175F in the center.
Remove from oven and let rest for about 5 mins before serving.
